Licensing requirements, pre-licensing education hours, exam procedures, fingerprinting rules, fees, and timelines are set by each individual state and change over time. Everything on this site about licensing is general information and may not reflect current requirements in your state. Always confirm the requirements that apply to you with your state's department of insurance before relying on anything here.
No earnings claims
Compensation for independent insurance agents is commission based. Income is not guaranteed, varies substantially from person to person, and depends on factors including your own effort, skill, the amount of business you write, whether that business stays in force, the carriers and products involved, and market conditions. Nothing on this site should be read as a promise, projection, or representation of any particular level of income. Commissions are subject to chargeback if a policy lapses or is cancelled.
